Scout

The big idea

The world is full of adventurous people and places filled with trails and landscapes beyond the horizon. Scout Adventures is a hypothetical company geared to those serious about hiking long-distance trails in the North American Region and need a safe reliable way of transportation to and from the trails. The big idea was to create a partnership with nearby airports to establish a transportation system to get those long distance adventure hikers from the airport to the trail without the means of hitchhiking and/or being picked up by random strangers to get there before the journey even begins.

The Problem: Hikers from all over the world come to hike the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and many more, yearly to accomplish the long-distance trails. When hikers plan their trips to these trails, they don’t always take into account of how they will get to the trail head. Either by hitchhiking from the nearest bus station or getting picked up by a random stranger and having those dreaded awkard conversations and hope that the person that just picked you up isn’t a psychotic murderer. Yes, most places having lodging nearby, but that’s not the issue at hand.

The Solution: To create an atmosphere to represent the long distant traveler. Scout accommodates long-distance hikers by providing them safe and reliable transportation from a partnering airport to the trailhead they wish to embark on. Hikers will gain the feeling of ease and trust, as they are being transported to their desired destination.
